Queen’s Pageant

The Otero County Fair Queen Program encourages personal and professional growth.

Each participant will showcase their ability to build and enhance confidence in her abilities, poise in her presentations, pride in her accomplishments, skills in communication, knowledge of the fair industry, and sportsmanship in accepting success or defeat gracefully.

2022 Entry Form

Dusty Diamonds

For the Dusty Diamonds pageant, it is limited to the first 10 entries. Check out our requirements below if you want to be part of our competition!

  • Candidates must be at least six and not more than nine years of age by Wednesday of Otero County Fair, the year of competition.
  • Candidates must have been a proper resident of Otero County for 12 consecutive months prior to joining.
  • If selected as the Dusty Diamond, she must surrender the title if she cannot fulfill her obligations.

Fair Princess

We have several requirements for those who are planning to join as a candidate for being the Fair Princess. These are:

  • Candidates must be at least 10 and not more than 13 years of age by Wednesday of the Otero County Fair, the year of competition.
  • Candidates must have been a resident of Otero County for 12 consecutive months prior to entry date.
  • If selected as the Fair Princess, the candidate must surrender the title if she cannot fulfill her obligations for any reason.

Fair Queen

Before you apply as a candidate for the Fair Queen title, please check our qualifications:

  • You must be at least 14 and not more than 17 years of age by Wednesday of Otero County Fair, the year of competition.
  • You must be a resident of Otero County for 12 consecutive months prior to joining the pageant.
  • You must have never been pregnant before
  • If selected as the Fair Queen, you must surrender the title if for any reason you cannot fulfill your obligations.

Fair and Rodeo Queen

Some of the qualifications for being part of our Fair and Rodeo Queen pageant are:

  • Candidate must be at least 17 and not more than 23 years old by Wednesday of Otero County Fair, the year of competition.
  • Candidate must be a resident of Otero County for 12 consecutive months prior to entry date.
  • Candidate must never have been pregnant or married.
  • If selected as Fair and Rodeo Queen, she must surrender the title if she will not be able to fulfill her obligations for any reason.
