EMBRACE THE TRADITION
On behalf of the Otero County Fair Board, we welcome you to the 79th Annual Otero County Fair and Rodeo. Steeped in rich history, the fair is the largest event in Otero County, attracting visitors from both near and far, for generations. Stroll through the new pavilion, take a ride on the iconic Ferris Wheel, visit the barns, or catch the rodeo, regardless of how you enjoy the event, we hope you truly embrace the tradition.
IS THERE A GATE CHARGE?
Due to generous sponsors, entrance to the 2018 Otero County Fair is absolutely free! So bring the whole family and EMBRACE THE TRADITION.
MAY WE BRING OUR OWN FOOD OR DRINKS?
Outside food and drinks will not be allowed on the premises during this year’s event. We have numerous vendors on site to ensure your visit to the fair is filled with fun and FOOD and we can’t wait to hear who was your favorite.
SHOULD I HAVE TO BRING CASH?
Each vendor has full control over how they receive payment. Although many will have card readers, cash would be recommended to ensure a seamless experience.
ARE THERE RESERVED SEATS FOR THE RODEO?
Only for Friday and Saturday nights rodeos. Reserve Seat tickets are sold in advance only at Dollar Boots & Jeans.

ARE THERE ANIMALS ONSITE?
Yes! Our county’s premier youth exhibitors have worked long hours to prepare for the fair. You can see their animals in the Poultry and Rabbit Barn and Livestock Barn. Please exercise caution and ask before touching any of the livestock to ensure their safety and yours.
IS THERE FIRST-AID ON THE GROUNDS?
Yes, there will first aid stations set up throughout the grounds. Please refer to the map for directions.
